Minister for Youth and Families

The minister has direct responsibility for relevant departments of other ministries dealing with youth issues. A ‘virtual’ department has been created where civil servants of other ministries work directly under the Minister for Youth and Families, but remain in their own department. The Ministry for Youth and Families has presented its programme for the period 2007 – 2011, focusing at better outcomes of all children.

The Dutch National Youth Council

The Dutch National Youth Council (2001) is an umbrella organisation, has around 30 various (national) youth member organisations and is open to representative, democratic organisations that are run for, by and through young people.
